Part 1
The main training program that has been consistent in our company is learning strategy and assessment consulting. The company is known as Winmark Corporation, which mainly deals with retail brands.
This program is aimed at ensuring that employees are well trained for various activities that they are required to undertake. The program is supposed to bring employees together through definition of goals for each individual, as well as making the employees aware of the goals of the organization (Hoovers, 2013). The organization has come up with a plan on how duties should be undertaken by various employees in the training process. The company also hires external experts who have previous record of extensive performance and extend advanced training on various issues concerning the organization. They mainly insist on achievement of the mission and realization of the vision of the organization.
The company has outlined a strategic move to ensure that all employees in the organization are aware of the main activities of the organization, as well as their duties in the organization. Therefore, the training of the organization revolves around the goals, vision, mission and improvement of personal skills among employees (Hoovers, 2013).
The three commonly used training techniques are role playing, behavior modeling, and case studies. Each of these techniques is unique in definition of the traits necessary to ensure that training works as required. Role playing requires employees to assume positions and perform as required by the position. Behavior modeling is a form of training where the employee or the trainee is directed on the best behaviors according to the provision of the organization. Case studies training are a technique where previous performances in other companies are used in training employees (Winmark, 2013).
The effects of these training programs are measured on the current achievements based on the form of training that was executed. The trainers are required to evaluate the performance of the employees in the training program (Hoovers, 2013).
Part 2
Different forms of interview are used while carrying out variant interviews based on the different positions available in an organization. For an exempt employee such as the chief accountant of the organization unique interview should be selected. This job entails analysis of financial transactions of the organization and the employee should work with the auditor of the company. In this case, the most suitable form of interview is panel interview. This is where experts on the accounting field would sit to interview the given individual (Winmark, 2013). These are the people with adequate knowledge on the field and they know all that an individual requires to fit the position present.
Questions
- What are the roles of accountants in the organization? The interviewee is required to match roles of an accountant to the activities of the organization and he or she must show this in the interview.
- What differences do you intend to bring to the department? The interviewee must understand the previous activities of the department and present what he may change.
- How will the changes that you will introduce influence the performance of the organization? the interviewee must be ready to explain what he expects to change in the organization.
- What makes you preferable from the rest of the candidates? We expect the client to present his or her prowess in handling the department. He or she must show superb ability.
- How do you intend to maintain the integrity of the organization? The interviewee must indicate his or her awareness of the ethical standards tolerable in the organization.
Nonexempt job
The nonexempt job available in the organization is that of a secretary. This is a job where the candidate will be required to record all activities of the company and file them accordingly. She is usually the assistant to the manager by accompanying him or her to meetings for taking minutes. This job will be interviewed on behavioral basis. This is critical behavioral interviewing process where the past performance of an individual is used. Similar situations may be used in the analysis of an issue affecting the current candidate (Winmark, 2013).
Questions
- What are the duties of a secretary? The interviewee must link the activities of the organization to what she knows as the roles of secretaries in companies.
- How shall you meet the deadlines aligned by various activities? The interviewee must show reliable avenue of saving time in to ensure no activity goes unattended in connection to poor management of time.
- How would you ensure that the manager remains informed of all activities in the organization? Apart from the normal record keeping methods she must show the ability to maintain information in an innovative manner, while the information remains safe.
- How do you plan to maintain proper flow of activities in the office of the manager? She must indicate conscience to the calendar of events in the organization. she must prove that she would always come up with alternatives when a given activity fails.
