Nelson Mandela is the leader I am most inspired with – he spent all his life trying to build a democratic society in South Africa and fight Apartheid, he gave water, electricity and telephones to millions of people, built hundreds of hospitals, homes and schools, invented obligatory education and much more.
His idiosyncrasy was ability to be diplomatic. In early years of his political career he was a part of anti-Apartheid party ANC and acted as its president since March 1950. The party attended conferences, protest acts and meetings since 1940’s for a long time. In 1990 Nelson Mandela entered negotiations with the government led by Frederik de Klerk – the president of SAR. The topic was ending apartheid in South Africa. After three years of talks de Klerk was forced to accept demands of National Party and ANC. In 1994 first multi-racial election were held which ended up in Mandela becoming the president of SAR.

Mandela truly believed in what he did. He was ready to give everything so his people could be free. He was arrested several times, he was beaten, he spent 27 years in prison, but he never gave in.
“A good head and a good hart are always a formidable combination” Mandela, Nelson. Long Walk to Freedom. Cape Town: Little Brown & Co, 1995. Print.
Life of Nelson Mandela inspired several generations. What can I say about a Man who gave freedom for entire race? He made World a better place and created a brighter future for us all. Rest in peace, Nelson Mandela.
