As a busy undergraduate, I am interested in healthy food to stay fit. Since I do not consume so much meat daily, I am more interested in nutrients for vegetarians. I know that to eat healthy means also to look for calories in food. After exploring the government website, I learned that vegetarians, in particular, need to focus on protein, iron, and calcium, as well as zinc as the key nutrients. To be a vegetarian means to consume food that is low in fat, like beans or rice. By all means, vegetarians should avoid fat cheeses, for example. Also soymilk can be a good replacement of cow milk for people like me. It is quite easy to cook vegetarian meals yourself. For example, veggie pizza or lasagna that replace ordinary meat.
Another topic of my special interest is body image. It concerns not only females, who are preoccupied with having a Barbie-like image. Lots of ads daily promote youth and slenderness, which many consider an etalon of beauty. I was relieved when I read on the Nutrition Information website that a healthy body can be of any shape and size! People often say that your body reflects your lifestyle. And we all want to look beautiful and healthy. To do so, a good advice is to start with healthy eating. This will positively reflect on your skin, hair, and bone system. Also, one should consider exercising, as it can elevate your energy and even your self-esteem. However, no person can do well in life without a proper rest. This is especially important these days, when we are searching for answers to stress management.
