1. The social construct of feeling, gender and humor are associated with the presentation of the self. In a society, there are many people who give importance to the thinking of others. It is however, natural for individuals to desire for making an impression on others. This feeling paves the way to the motivation of behavior, and assisting people to organize and manage their actions. The gender roles also play their role, and exert their influence on how individuals present themselves (Blundell, McNeil & Griffiths, 2003). It is because of the fact that gender also indicates the actions being male and female. This is determines way of consideration of people at them, and formation of self-concept that is based on the norms of society. Masculinity is associated with males so they have to do actions and wear dress by considering masculinity, and females are expected to dress and act in feminine way. However, when there is breaking of such norms by males or females, then the people adopt negative attitude towards them, and they also construct negative opinion about the individual involve in breaking norm.
Humor is also an example and consequence of social construct because it is usually not accepted in the society. The person has to deliver jokes to the suitable audience that can take the joke in fun and not seriously. Humor exerts its influence on the perception of the society for an individual depending on the funny aspect of the joke, and the way of presentation of the jokes. Society also exerts its influence on the way people adopt to show their feelings. People reveal their feelings and also repress them depending on the circumstance and the situations. For example, there are many people majorly males who are reluctant to express their feelings explicitly in the public because they fear that it is not good, and will create a negative image of their personality, and they will be will be judged and evaluated by others.
