“Believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky”
A few years into my teenage life, I developed a dream to study abroad; regardless of how difficult it would be especially for an introvert like me, and my dream never changed since then. By studying in the U.S.A., I would ultimately be living the America dream. My parents were an inspiration to me throughout encouraging me to not only dream big but also make my dreams come to a reality for the sky is the only limit. I believed that studying abroad would significantly aid in pursuing my dream career and would help me grow mainly by experiencing the realities of life and interacting with people from diverse communities.
My dream to study abroad ultimately led to the creation of more ambitious personality which greatly helped in succeeding and thus, gaining control of my long and successful future. To achieve my dream of moving to America to further my studies I made a promise to myself of working hard in my academic life. The struggle was not easy especially when my academic reports did not reflect my expectations, which was among the obstacles I encountered in order to turn my dreams of studying abroad a reality. As I advanced into my teenage life, my future came closer and thoughts of college clouded my mind. Through excellent academic performance I was able to move oversees to further my education in Boston. Few years later, my biggest dream which was to study in the US is my present reality. That’s why Believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky best reflects my teenage life.
The three stages in my life have been diverse; when I was young I did not have a care in the world which is best reflected by the song, "No one saying do this.. No one saying be there.. No one saying stop that.. No one saying see here.. Free to run around all day.. Free do it all my way." As I began my life as a teenage my life priories change and soon my biggest dream was to study abroad and advance my life career. My dream seems unachievable; however, I would sing “I Believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky”. It was only after settling in the US that I realized that absence makes a heart only grow fonder: I missed my friends and family I also realized that "Only miss the sun when it starts to snow Only know you've been high when you're feeling low Only hate the road when you're missing home.” The three songs best reflect my three life stages.
