Abstract.
The special forces of the United States army are an integral part of national security and perhaps the most valuable asset as far as the war on terror is concerned. These forces focus primarily on stealth and precision when carrying out their operation thus coming up with results with pinpoint accuracy. These forces will play a major role in the war against terror in the future as the have the capability as well as the capacity to curb terror attacks during their inception. These Special Forces especially come in handy when dealing with unconventional warfare and an enemy that is stateless and whose sole cause is destruction and aggression against the United States of America and her allies. With these forces stationed all over the world and especially in terrorism hot spot areas, the war on terror just got that much simpler.
Instability in countries that are hostile to the United States of America provides the perfect breeding ground for terrorist organizations to thrive and develop in terms of training and acquisition of weaponry and ammunition. This is because instability masks the true activities ongoing on the ground, which is the training of militia and arming them for acts of aggression primarily against the United States of America (Barrett, 2009). The CA teams will therefore come in handy as far as instability is concerned. This is because these teams will step in and restore law and order immediately lawlessness steers its ugly head. Thus, with the proverbial veil eliminated the war on terrorism gets that much simpler (Garrick, Jonathan, 2012). This will make it very difficult for militia with terrorist affiliations to carry out their covert activities since they will no longer have anything to hide behind (Harvey, 2005). Thus, the isolation and elimination of terrorist cells will become that much simpler. Thus, these Special Forces come in handy since one of their main prerogatives will be the reestablishment of law and order in areas, which have instances of instability, which might pose a threat to the national security of the United States of America.
In order to be able to carry out their activities with a great amount of precision, keeping in mind that stealth and the element of surprise are very important when dealing with merciless and relentless terrorists, it will be very important to have small pockets of these forces stationed all around the world and especially in terrorist hot spot regions (Garrick, Jonathan, 2012). Due to the high levels of precision exercised by these forces during military expeditions, they will lead to a reduction of the loss of innocent human lives caught up in the crossfire in the war against terrorism. With the loss of human lives greatly reduced, the cause of the United States and her allies in the war against terrorism will become clearer to the rest of the world. Moreover, this might even entice other nations into joining the war against terrorism with an aim of complete eradication of the vice of terrorism completely from the globe (Harvey, 2005). This is because many of the world’s nations are against the United States of America in the war against terrorism because many innocent civilians are caught up in the crossfire and as a result, there is tremendous loss of innocent civilian lives. This flaw in the fight against global terrorism could become a thing of the past due to the immense emphasis on precision and pinpoint accuracy by these Special Forces. Thus, it can be argued that these Special Forces are instrumental to the future of the United States of America and all of her allies in the fight against terrorism.
