Pebble beach is a resort destination situated in the coastal area of California. Pebble beach has a beautiful coastline and forest, which attracts many tourists who are interested in recreational trips. Moreover, pebble beach is the home to the golf course referred to as the pebble beach golf links. Inside the pebble beach there is an inn, lodge, and four golf courses, which enhance an increase in the number of guests who visit the resort. The residents who visit the pebble beach pay fees, part of which is used in offering services which include; collection and treatment of wastewater, fire protection, recycled water distribution, emergency medical services and garbage collection. The region around the pebble beach is administered by the Del Monte Forest Conservancy company. The aim of the Del Monte Conservancy is to protect and conserve the open space surrounding the Del Monte Forest.
Pebble beach is known for its golf and resort facilities. The services offered at the Spanish Bay, the lodge and the Casa Palmero are honored because they have maintained exemplified traditions. The Spanish Bay Inn provides a peaceful accommodation that is secluded and nestled between the pacific shore and groves of monetary pines (Schreiber 19). The guests who visit the beach enjoy rounds in the golf courses, and the gracious accommodation offered. Pebble beach is situated on the top of the cliff, and thus the guests enjoy sea views while dining. The penthouse suite that is located in the pebble beach has luxurious accommodation with views of the coast from both the sitting room and bedroom. The Spanish bay, which is located along a 17 mile drive, provides vistas of the golf courses. Some of the beautiful views include cypress point, pebble beach and the spyglass hill.
The pebble beach resorts provide world class dining experience to the guests. The foods served in the resorts constitute of quality meat and the sustainably caught seafood. Variety of foods is available, giving the visitors a chance to choose their favorite meals. Pebble beach facilitates the golf players, because of the presence of international golf courses. Moreover, the guests at the pebble beach enjoy horse riding, while exploring the beauty of the Monterey peninsula (Hotelling 34). The Spanish bay gives an experience of the sand dunes, and the rolling fairways. The kitchen, which is run by Chef Pierre Chevillard offers a wide range of dishes, which caters for all the guests in the resort and their tastes. Moreover, the head chef ensures that the menu keeps on changing to avoid boredom by the visitors.
The kelp washing up on the shore of the ocean brings a bad smell to the houses in the Pebble beach. However, despite the bad smell, some of the areas in the pebble beach have a beautiful smell due to the flowers planted around houses. The flowers have petals that produce strong fragrances that have vivid colors. The flowers produce a fresh morning breeze in the beach. The smell in the pebble house varies according to the time and the season (Schreiber 25). The seal rock picnic area is one of the areas that is affected by the filthy smell coming from the water
The pebble beach is a legendary resort that has attracted many visitors, because of the strategic setting of the place. The dining experiences and the golf courses at the pebble beach are superb, and thus guests prefer the beach for recreation. The beauty of the pebble beach has thrilled since 1919, when it was designed by Douglas and Neville (Hotelling 49). Due to its popularity, the pebble golf links have held many tournaments, including the Open Championships tournament by the U.S and the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
