The reason, behind choosing this aspect, is the crime and its effect on the society. Artists like Simon Yam, Kate Tsui and Tony Leung Ka Fai, have played their roles with sincerity. This movie presents a darker picture of the Hong Kong society. The story revolves around a group of criminals that keep committing a variety of crimes from burglary to loot and becomes a serious challenge for the police ( Yam et al.). There are a number of violent scenes in the movie that make audiences to sit in their chair and watch the movie. The movie comes to an end when the gang is busted and thus it gives a message to criminals to quit crime (Shapiro).
With an intriguing story, the movie succeeded in attracting crowds to cinema houses. It entertained audiences and highlighted the issue of crime. The movie got several acclamations, as well as awards, and got more than a few nominations in various categories, but the same was also criticized for some of its negative aspects (Shapiro). The movie lacked creativity; violence was somehow the central theme of this movie. There was more scope for the director as well as actors to do in the movie. The length of this movie was short, and that became another reason the movie was criticized by the critics.
