Fair treatment in workplace
The relationship between the employer, employee and all the workers must be conducive. Every player in working place has a responsibility of enhancing the wellbeing of work partners. Much time at work is spent solving conflict that arises. It is not ethical as the manager has a big role in enhancing fair treatment to all employees. The basic legal rights that employees seek involves fair wage, free from discrimination and safety in the working place.
Fair treatment in working place requires manager to exercise authority in making a decision that do not favor. All workers are supposed to be treated equally regardless of ethnicity background and race. As a food and beverages manager many issues come up in the daily operation as the employees are of different races and gender. The direct reports are supposed to be undertaken according to the entry time regardless of whether male or female. Manager should ensure the workers are in harmony, in their activities.
The working place should be designed in a manner that is safe for the employer and employees. It reduces the risk of the misunderstanding and misconduct of the employees. The health of the workers should be given priority. It is brought about by understanding the nature of work and employment rules. The works are supposed to be aware of their rights as per the workers rule Act. This contributes in bringing peace at working place as workers and employees adhere to the outlined guidelines.
Fair and consistent relationship in the working place has several determinants that help the manager to decide fairly to employment during recruiting and working environment. According to the Act of employment, the employer is not supposed to eliminate employees in the basis of gender, race and religion. They are supposed to be given chance as any other person in the community. The most important is their qualification of the task to be undertaken. Employees are supposed to be paid their overtime duties according to the agreement. This enhances good relationship between the employer and employees. An agreement between an employer to an employee leads to peaceful working place environment.
Equal payment of the employees matters a lot. The employees at same rank according to their level and position are supposed to be treated equally. Level of education also should be considered while coming up with the wage and salary compensation. Family and medical leaves of the works should also be considered. It gives the parents to have enough time with their families. It enhances bonding and solving the family issues. The medical leaves give the employees ample time to recover and in the environment that is safe. Work leaves leads to employees to be involved to other matters out of the routine working hence removal of boredom.
Finally, workplace consists of different individuals from different culture, traditions and religion. Integration of all these social cultures requires manager with wisdom of brings them together and ensuring peaceful coexistence. Gender discrimination has been widely condemned as equality in all sectors has been enhanced. The relationship of these factors is projected to diversification as the managers have realized they contribute to the improvement in performance.
