1. The fight between good and evil as the Force is identified somewhat with the God of Christianity and other godlike figures.
2. Moral struggle between natures over technology
3. Struggle of the hero to reach his destiny despite many obstacles
Other heroes that had to overcome many obstacles such as Superman, King Arthur, Oedipus.
The advances of technology in the film are far into the future. What products are currently available in our world?
The force is similar to a supreme being what is the similarities in the role that the Force plays in the film

The struggle to do the right thing no matter what the cost. Should time and money be spent to rescue just one person or just let him die?
The idea that science can solve all the problems that the stranded astronaut is facing. Not sure if that thinking works in all situations.
When can science and the scientific method come into play as the most advantageous problem solving plan.
Do smart people make the choice to do the right thing or so they measure the costs versus the result before deciding on the course of action.
Can a person actually live and survive on their own or do people need other people?
