Importance of Health Care Administration
Importance of Health Care Administration is seemingly immense since these are, on most occasions directly involved with root level health services and has the authority of attributing discipline into the practitioner’s levels. In accordance with the healthcare requirements they can pre-observe the price of prescription drugs and instruct the physicians or at least create an influence over regular healthcare practitioners to prescribe drugs accordingly, taking the cost of the drugs into consideration so that the drug manufacturers will be able to determine or revise the price of drugs they reproduce.
There are obviously many types of drugs and medication being thoroughly classified depending on different parameters. Suppose, the quality of drugs does not rely on the components (the medical “preparation” or “formula”) that are used prior to get manufactured, however, it also depends upon the quality of ingredients that are used. Drugs’ classification can also be defined varying on many factors such as transportation, distance, availability, sale’s rate, demand on the market, caution for usage, banning for few reasons, user restrictions. Variation is also represented because of its type of action such as being herbal medication, placebo medication, drug of simple preparation. Depending on the variation of their marketing kinds some drugs are of either higher price or remain out of the supply. Drugs can be also of higher prices depending on its severity of use though on many occasion we do not see that it happens.
Generic drugs can be of high price because of some marketing policies while the patented drugs can be also out of reach because there are significant values provided to the patent owner as the royalty.
It’s not a bad idea to help the patient select cheaper drugs available in the market because of the fact that there is no major difference between low-priced and high-priced drugs as long as these consist of the same “preparation” or components. However, a costly drug also ensure other quality levels such as using high-quality packages, good preservation, low-risk for being damaged. Cheaper drugs also prevent other provisions of medicine absorptions
Health practitioners have the authority of determining the group of “preparation” on every usual occasion, but don’t have the right to choose the brand. Since a lot of expenditure for purchasing drugs varies from a brand to another brand, it is not likely to see them counseling which brand should be purchased. However, if they get the discretion of helping the patient choose the affordable piece of drugs, the financial shortcomings for availing required drugs could be resolved.
This is well recommended that there would be some policies to discourage people from buying expensive quality drugs in several meaningful ways. However, before doing that the cheap drugs producers should make sure that they are reproducing drugs that are up to the mark. For many security reasons a group of capable people don’t go for cheap drugs of same medical components.
Health practitioners should be provided cheap but sufficient-quality drugs that work, in order to discourage people not to opt for expensive drugs quite officially. It could become a matter of habit to inform people that “Prices don’t matter medicating”. Also, the physicians must become disinterested in making business, or help make other’s business.
If the patients are involved in purchasing drugs, their strong involvement will make things easier to have drugs in cheap rate. Also, patients will bear their prescription in hands so that the seller would not dare to be unreasonable in demanding extra price.
Individual efficiency as well as the efficiency of pharmacy is striking while selling drugs. Numbers of the pharmacy should be increased on a regular basis so that there will be least chance to misrepresent their right and activities. Patients can choose the pharmacy they would like to purchase the drugs from. This will help all owners of pharmacies build a better business community. Also they can reduce the rate of drugs as they make little profit on each drug they sell. It is important to ensure major drug sellers can become independent and make business with their independence on most of the occasions.
Pharmacists usually have the impact on health practitioners because it is not the health practitioner who determines the price of a drug, rather the owner of the pharmacy can do something more or less about that. Health practitioners should have the chances to impose their discretion determining the price of the medications. Owner of the pharmacy should not consider it as an interference which a healthcare practitioner does.
