What aspects of Jones investments benefits program are likely to appeal to Aden? Explain
The excellent profit sharing plan which sees 80% of profits deferred to retirement account is likely to benefit Aden. This is because Aden is in his 30s which is the best time that most of people start thinking about retirement (Lembaga, 24). This will also appeal to Aden because he has past work experience, a thing that shows he has established himself in the employment sector and started off his life. He thus has less spending wage and won’t mind the 80% profit deferment. The one week paid vacation pack for one year employee at Jones and two weeks’ vacation pack for two year employees is likely to appeal to Aden. The 10 paid holidays each year are as likely to appeal to Aden. This is because Aden is in his youthful years and would thus have the common goal and hobby of exploring new places and staying off work while on pay (CCH Incorporated, 13). The vacation would thus be a good motivator to Aden since he would have a feel that his efforts would get rewarded after working for Jones Investments.
Jones Investment provision for advancement of education is likely to appeal to Aden. This is because Aden is still in his learning years and from his behavior and work ethics he appears to have the desire to further his education and be able to compete more favorably for even top managerial positions. Paying for some classes related to the employee’s job specification and allowing employees to attend classes during some work hours is also likely to appeal to Aden. According to Wolters (29), most youthful employees are torn between working and learning when finding a balance between the two proves hard. Jones investment provision is likely to renew Aden’s impetus in working for Jones.
What aspects of Jones benefit package would likely be the least appealing to Aden? Discuss
The long-term care insurance is less likely to appeal to Aden. The medical and dental plans too are less likely to appeal to Aden. This is because most youthful people rarely get sick since their bodies immune system is usually at peak performance (Williams, 89). Aden is a youth and offering him a dental cover is likely to appear vague and misguided. The five days sick leave provided by Jones Investments is least likely to appeal to Aden. This is because Aden is still a youth and the only ailments that appear to haunt the youth are the chronic simple ailments like colds. This would of course not need a sick leave. This is also because from the record given, Aden appears to have no chronic illness or medical condition. The 50% off on daycare costs would also less likely appeal to a den since he has no children to take to the daycare center.
In today’s work environment, what other benefits offered by employers might be attractive to Aden? Why?
A benefit that might appeal to Aden is offering the opportunity to work from home or somewhere besides the office. An employer that has this benefit is Fiverr which has a portal for their employees from where their employees can perform their duties (Ryan, 1). This would appeal to Aden since he may want to further his studies and still work. Offering commission based on performance is likely to appeal to Aden. This is in practice at McDonalds where the managers at the various branches are paid as per the number of customers they serve in their outlet (McDonalds, 45). This benefit is likey to appeal to Aden because he has a track record of impeccable work ethics. He is likely to outperform the other employees.
