The building of this museum is extravagant, it primafacie catches the eyes of visitors. The building is exceedingly huge and divided in different halls where art works are put on display for visitors. I was amazed to see the building and I found it simply wonderful. The museum is very well decorated and gives a red carpet welcome to its visitors. The Museum of fine art is marvelous and it has a number of attractions for art lovers.
The Museum has wide collection of around 1600 painting from different parts of world such as English, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and French. The work includes Barbizon, Claude Monet outside of Paris, impressionist and Jean-Francois Millet. Some great piece of work that inspired me most, are Watson and the Shark by John S. Copley, Salem Harbor oil on canvas by Fitz H. Lane, The Fog Warning by W. Homer and The Execution of Emperor Maximilan by Edourad Manet. These paintings easily grab attention of visitors. Each painting has some message, idea or thought to convey.
At the south entrance of Museum there is a statue of Appeal to the Great Spirit by Cyrus Dallin. This statute seems like directly connecting to the god. Above mentioned pieces of art works are rare to find and I was delighted that I got opportunity to visit the museum and feel the great art pieces it has. Not only work and painting but design, ambience, architecture of the building is great. It seems that building is design in a manner that connects visitors to peace. While visiting the museum of fine arts, I sensed that I am directly connected with these paintings.
