Article Review
This article provides a discussion of the application of Object-Level Keyword Search Over Relational Databases (OKSORD). This has been prompted by the difficulties associated with the application Keyword Search Over Relational Databases (KSORD), which makes it difficult for the end user to understand. The procedure discussed for developing an object level data model for the Object-Level Keyword Search Over Relational Databases involves the classification of relation algorithm into four categories. This is then followed by converting a relational database schema to an object-level schema graph. The final step involves generating an object level data graph for the object level schema graph.
Self-Tuning of the Relationships among Rules’ Components in Active Databases Systems
This article discusses issues relating to active database systems especially when it comes to optimization of these databases. A major issue addressed relates to performance issues that are based on the flexibility in selection of transaction policies, intertransaction timing policies of rules and synchronization issues as they relate to the different coupling modes. The paper offers a more detailed explanation on the application of coupling modes to coupling policies to provide better design flexibility. Additionally, it provides an optimization model that helps the designer to develop an optimal set of coupling policies.
Object Deputy Database Language
This article provides a discussion of the application of object deputy database language in the TOTEM model. It includes a discussion of the implementation technologies of the definition language, manipulation language and query languages in TOTEM. Characteristics of the object deputy model discussed include bidirectional object pointers, propagation mechanism, switching operation and path expression, which make the object deputy database language superior to the traditional object oriented data model.
