As a student of computer science and software engineering, I feel fortunate to be in this age of networks, which provides me with brilliant opportunities to construct my effort to suit the digital world. Attaining a Ph.D. in Computer Science is my next goal, whereby I will be able to do what I love most. Since I was young, I have been deeply interested in computing, and that is why I chose computer science as my major. I will never forget the feeling of wanting to know how computers worked. There is not only one reason, but several, as to why I am applying for an education school doctorate program in your University. My interest in this program stems from my undergraduate studies at the University of alqassim University, alqassim, SA where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science in 2009. My undergraduate career was rewarding, whereby I achieved top ranking scores, and I am keen to build my interest in software engineering. Computer science courses fascinate me most, and I feel proud to have chosen computer science as a subject of my life long pursuit. From that time, I became an aspiring and ambitious student inextricably connected to my specialty. I immersed myself in diligent learning of every course related to my specialty and derived every pleasure from engineering software. Based on my understanding in software and network, I undertook courses in Java and Visual C++, TCP/IP, SS7 protocol stack. In 2014, I attained Master of Science, Computer Science, at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT. I managed a GPA: 3.3 on a scale of 4.0. I am quite confident that I will be able to successfully complete my studies in your university. In addition, my experiences in working closely with the administrative staffs in schools on the department of girls as a computer teacher will greatly facilitate my studies. Moreover, my participation in International Institute as a trainer of Microsoft office programs course has made me sure that this is the course I need in order to be able to educate girls worldwide.
My work placement at a private secondary school as a computer teacher instilled my interests and fueled my resolve to progress into an education school doctorate program. This reinforced my interested in the areas of teaching computer science. My main role was to teach the girls about computers and related studies. This experience helped me develop relevant written and verbal skills and managing my time effectively, and writing succinctly. Impressed by the rapid advances in technology and my students liking my skills, I am urged by the need to further my studies and achieve the highest necessary qualifications in this field.
I chose to apply for a doctorate in education because; it would develop both my theoretical knowledge and my practical skills in software engineering. I am able to communicate very well with people at all levels and get them visualize my intentions. This is something I learnt from my students who really enjoyed my teaching. With my excellent verbal and communication skills, I have been able to give presentations to large audiences and were satisfied with my presentation, and am convinced that I will highly excel in your university. I enjoy challenges, and can work properly under pressure, and I feel flexible enough to meet the needs of the doctorate program.
