Businesses operate in an environment whereby cohesiveness and effectiveness faced in both the local and international frontier is imperative. As such, in the global environment, businesses require incorporation of a more global strategy in human resource management. Majority of the pundits assert that in the global environment, aggressive and heightened human resource strategies are important for success. As the first part of analysis in the presentation, I will examine the global issues that are faced by businesses in human resource management. Firstly, businesses face aspect of transnational cultural competence. Furthermore, the need for a more enhanced approach in management of the various cultures existent in the international frontier.
Admittedly, through comprehension of the global issues faced in human resource management, businesses incorporate various performance approaches in improvement of performance. As such, through the various approaches, examined in the second part of the paper, businesses incorporate either a decentralized, centralized or hybrid approach in tackling the global scene. Thirdly, the various approaches in performance management require the right recruitment and section strategies in human resource management. In the third part, I will examine the recruitment strategies such as region-centric, ethnocentric and so forth which can be incorporated by a business.
Fourthly, through recruitment and selection, human resource staffing coupled with strategies in improving employee performance and productivity is imperative. In the fourth and fifth part of the presentation, I will examine HR strategies in improving productivity intertwined with staffing strategies respectively. Through the generic strategy, companies manage to improve performance among their employees. Additionally, staffing strategies aimed at inculcating cross cultural competence, businesses succeed effectively in global human resource strategies. Lastly, I will examine the various training programs that businesses can nurture to succeed effectively in the global frontier. Through cultural briefings, area briefings, cultural simulation and so forth, businesses can manage to maintain formidable expatriate employees.
