On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of our institution, I take the privilege to welcome you to your institution.
I take this opportunity to let you know of our philosophy of educating the elementary level students of the Vth standard. The institution believes in an ambience of cooperation and amiability when it comes to the question of teacher-student relationship. Our teachers take care of each student individually and aim to figure out the strength or weakness in the ward, if any. On identifying the weakness, that student is taken care of with tender hands. We like to develop the personality and educational qualification of each individual. We believe in promoting the creativity of each student. Extra-curricular activities play a major role in the development of the students and we believe such activities to be integral parts of education as it enhances the scope of cooperation, socializing, interaction, reasoning and problem solving.
We access the students on the basis of project works, class assessments and group discussions. We believe this procedure can enable us to have a holistic opinion of the development of the wards. We value each and every evaluation of the student as these in unison can give a perfect overview about the academic career in school. Hence, all the records of these assessments are archived in our digital database and they remain with us for future reference. Thus, we are able to provide a complete history of the educational development of the student. The institution has planned a few activities for the students in the first days of school.
The faculty of teachers will be organizing a 2-day workshop on ‘Creative Minds and the World of Imagination’. This workshop would be a platform for the students to portray their creative sides on the dais. They would be assisted by the teachers and literary figures and artists during this time. There would be competitive events on painting, writing, acting, music and artifact making.
The second activity would include a recollection of the knowledge they have been imparted in the previous class which would enable them to have a rejuvenated foundation to begin studying for the new academic year. The questionnaire would have multiple choices and the evaluation would also be able to ascertain the weakness of the ward, if any, in relation to the previous lessons. We would thence start off with the course-work of the new academic year.
The third activity would be on ‘Environmental Awareness’ which would seek the participation of the parents as well. The Faculty of Environmental Studies has planned to have a group discussion to enhance the awareness about the burning issues related to the environment. The causes, impending outcomes and the possible ways to save the earth and its environment would be the topics of discussion. We would then embark upon planting trees in the locality of the school and would seek the presence of the parents for the event.
Lastly, we would like to let you know that the institution does not believe in such strict disciplinary actions that can in any way hinder the mental health of the ward. We rather aim at a very friendly and sociable atmosphere where the students would by themselves get engaged in the activities and course-work. We, further, wish to involve the parents in the child’s educational development as that would be helpful for their relationship as well as the child’s betterment. There would be certain activities where we would invite the parents to take part with their child.
