Plantation tourism plays a great role in effecting the south. There are various plantation tourism sites to the south are of great importance to the southerners. First, many of this plantation tourism sites offer the southerners with nice places for socializing and holding various events in their social groups. For instance, Magnolia Plantations and gardens offer the public with beautiful scenery for holding wedding shows. The southerners hold more other events in the plantation’s pavilion which include corporate outings, birthday parties, and family reunions. In so doing, plantation tourism sites located at the south have much positive effects to the public thus they promote growth, understanding and development of the community (Dhaliwal 361).
Nevertheless, the plantation sites located at the south are affect the southerners’ living standards positively. Ideally, these sites provide the community with employment opportunities. Most of the sites located to the south employ skilled, semiskilled, and unskilled workers to manage the plantation sites. The workers earn money from their job and in so doing they improve their standards of living. On the other hand, they act as a source of private income. In some of this plantation tourism sites, there are self -employed people such as artists who use products from the plantation to make money from the visitors (Speakman, 216).
Finally, the plantation tourism sites at the south have played a role in the development of the community surrounding the sites. For instance, several cultures visit such areas and in so doing they help in the exchange of culture. In addition, the plantation tourism sites at the south lead to development of infrastructure such as roads and communication.
