Psychology entails the study of human behavior. There are different perspectives used in psychology that explains why a person poses certain actions and how they acquire such behaviors. These perspectives are biological, psychoanalytic, behavioral, and humanistic. It is from that rationale that the theories will aid in understanding and comprehend the incorrigible Zayed's conduct and manners.
The biological theory states that the actions of human beings are controlled by biological factors that include genetics, brain, and hormones. Weird behaviors may result from a breakdown of a biological system, hormonal imbalance, or defective genes. It is not normal for a student to punch a teacher; Zayed's at that incidence might have suffered from a mental lapse and hit the teacher unknowingly. Mental retardation can at times influence people to have very peculiar habits.
Psychoanalytic theory suggests that inner forces and conflicts beyond their control influence people's behaviors. Personality comprises three factors, ego, identity, and superego. Collision between these three factors often has deleterious effects that may lead to a disorder. Zayden perhaps had fracas with the teacher and felt that his ego, identity, and superego was squashed. He lost self-control and punched the teacher.
Behavioral theory suggests that the environment modifies people's behavior. Such behavioral modifications can be explained using factors such as parenting, punishments, media, and friends. Zayden might have been brought up in a violent surrounding skyrocketed by poor parenting and misleading. Due to these adverse factors, his behaviors were modified to suit the environment he is in. That led him to delve into dangerous practices like punching a teacher whom he should give respect utterly.
The humanistic theory argues that we handle our actions. These actions are aimed at the self-satisfaction of our needs. These requirements include but not limited to safety, esteem, social, and self-actualization. While satisfying our needs, the objective is to maintain and improve ourselves. I do not consider this was the reason Zayden punched the teacher since it never led to any improvement in his life but rather, only heaped more mystery on him.
