Introduction
The idea of social inequality involves the existence of rather a biased or unjust level of opportunities as well as rewards in the cases of different positions and statuses within any social class. In most cases, such an inequality gets associated with varied dimensions of significance, including economic, wealth as well as the level of education among other critical aspects like power, schooling race alongside ethnicity as well as origin. Social inequality has major adverse effects on the wellbeing of others as it not only dehumanizes but also makes one feel out of place.
In as far as Australia is concerned; the idea of social inequality has gotten into and become part and parcel of inhabitants. Social inequality has been substantially caused by the high prevalence of the idea of one's social class depending on factors like where one schooled. In Australia, most inhabitants are classified more so based on which schools they attended to and which teachers taught them. Such a scenario has significantly affected education levels and standards in Australia since everyone is now scrambling for those institutions regarded to be the best and the ones that would place one in some admirable social class.( Habibis, 2008) The student who performs well in class also is positioned in a rather higher social class than the other. If one gets to go to some reputable educational institutions, one gets to receive social respect, favors, honor as well as reputation, unlike the other person. The highly socially ranked in Australia have an advantage of attending better, more reputable and highly recognized educational institutions, and this has considerably resulted in social inequality among most individuals. Who one is socially as well as the role one plays has significantly affected the kind of reputation one gets as well as the kind of schools one attends (Stewart, 2016).
Urban education in Australia has been made the bit more favorable to cater for many individuals. Though there are increased levels of prejudice regarding the social class thing, favorable policies are being put in place to ensure all get an education. Educational subsidies, free mentorship programs, well equipped educational infrastructure and good student-teacher relations are some of the measures being inputted to ensure there's better education. Most inhabitants are now safe and feel a bit more comfortable in learning since it is now getting to be more affordable and favorable learning in Australia. Australia is now becoming an urban educational hub due to governmental support through the ministry of education by reducing the entry levies and minimized costs involved in educational training in urban setups. Transport fees, tuition funds, and boarding facilitation have been upgraded in the urban centers to boost urban education and make education accessible to all. (Habibis, 2008).
Conclusion
Social inequality remains a major drawback to most in most parts of the world, and this is reducing levels of development. Such is the cause of the social classes we have in the current world. In most cases, social inequality is caused by the school's people attend to, their occupational prestige as well as power and wealth.
