The changes that have been witnessed in climate that have been influenced by global warming have prompted the need to try and seek for alternative sources of energy. Spain like many other developing and already established nations has taken the intuitive to try and put their resources into investing on green energy. Through this intuitive, there have been creation of industrial plants that are aimed at ensuring that there are enough resources put into green power production. There have been the establishments of areas that have been set aside for the production of energy through, wind, hydroelectric power, and solar energy (Del Río, 2009). Del Rio asserts that the policies adopted in relation to the management of renewable energy has the potential of defining the conflicts witnessed—a relevant aspect that has economic implications. The article states that the results of the an interaction Emission Trading Schemes (ETS) and schemes that promote the use of renewable electricity are affected by the type of RES-E (electricity from renewable energy sources) plan used and the particular design elements of the model being implemented (Del Río, 2009). In this study, the policies or the schemes used in the management of renewable energy are the independent variable while the resulting conflicts are the dependent variable (Del Río, 2009).
The establishment of industries has gone a long way in creating employment in Spain. It is highly inevitable not to associate the lack of employment opportunities with the little developments that are taking place in a particular countries industrial sector. It is evident that an increase in the number of companies that are being established to generate renewable sources of energy automatically result to the creation of job opportunities (Webb, 2009). Therefore, the changes that are being witnessed through Spain’s efforts to try and generate renewable energy results to increased employment rate which is results to a decrease in the unemployment rate.
Spain like other developing countries has a lot of unemployed people especially the youth. The establishment of these kinds of companies goes a long way in helping them in securing employment. This is because, in order to successfully operate a renewable source of Energy Company, a large workforce is required (OECD, 2013). There are different individuals that will be required in order to keep the company in check. This will be in different sectors such as those that are going to be used in the repairing and the maintenance department. Through the availability of employment, there will be the establishment of different innovators who are employed to develop a solution to any problems that may arise in the manufacturing process. The creation of such industries goes a long way in making sure that there is increased development in the country. Despite there being direct employment through these plants, there are also the creation of employment opportunities that are created in different sectors and departments. This is through more employment opportunities through the hiring of other staff members that are required in a company. These staff members include drivers, cooks, secretaries, interns and other employees that are required for proper organizational management and development (OECD, 2013).
There are also other factors that contribute to a decrease in the unemployment rate indirectly rather than the direct employment that is witnessed through the establishment of such companies. According to Pach-Gurgul (2014), the use of renewable energy has resulted to the increase in the energy security, reduced dependency on imported fossil fuels and other socio-economic benefits like creation of new jobs. In this study, the utilization of the renewable energy is the independent variable while the resulting social-economic effect is the dependent variable. The country is positively affected following the changes that are witnessed in the unemployment rate. This is because a reduction in the unemployment rate automatically results to a significant growth on the country’s economy. A county’s development is based on the sustainability it acquires through the employment rate and its citizens ability to acquire basic needs that are required for human development (Del Río, 2009). These are among the significant positive factors that Spain as a country is benefiting from due to the developments that are being witnessed in the green power production sector.
The need for the renewable sources of energy is being driven by international moves that are being made to restore the world original climatic conditions. This is because there have been a turn of events following the use of non-renewable sources of energy that have a relatively negative impact on the country’s economy (Del Río, 2009). Through the acknowledgment that has been made on the need to invest on renewable source of energy, not only in Spain but other countries in the world, there has been a result of a decrease in unemployment due to the numerous opportunities. The opportunities are diverse and not only give employment to professionals but also other individuals in the community who have a wide range of skills. The employment opportunities that are provided are diverse as earlier on stated, from skilled professional such as innovators to drivers. In order to adhere to the regulations that have been set by the world leaders on the production of energy, Spain like other developing countries is creating room for the development of other green production industries in order to eradicate the production of any non-renewable sources of energy (Del Río, 2009). The increase in the country’s green production industry definitely will result to more employment opportunities. Spain like other developing countries has witnessed a tremendous rate of unemployment in recent years. In order to meet the set objectives, the changes that were made are what resulted to an increase in the employment rate.
Despite an increase on the employment rate, there has been a lot of economic growth that has been witnessed in countries such as Spain following the development of renewable sources of power production plants. This is due to the significance that is tied with this kind of production (Webb, 2009). In Webb’s study an increase on the government’s revenue is a variable that is dependent on the changes in the economy that are linked with improved employment rate. The establishment of such plants requires a lot of capital and the purchasing and use of resources that will be provided by manufacturers in different sectors (Webb, 2009). This will automatically result to the growth in the economy and particularly a growth on the companies that will supply the needed materials and labor to the development of renewable sources of energy companies. Through the employment opportunities that are availed, the government can generate a lot of revenue. The revenue collected goes a long way in making sure that there is development in different sectors of the country. The increase in the employment rate also results to a decrease in the inflation rate. This is because the country’s economy and the majority of citizens are in a position of affording their basic needs. Through this, there is a positive impact on the economy since there is a decrease on the poverty level. Having reviewed this, it is evident that there a number of positive impacts that have been associated with green energy production on the employment rate and the economy of Spain and other developing countries (Webb, 2009).
According to OECD (2013), the increase in the employment rate has resulted to a constructive growth on economy. In this study, the employment rate is a dependent variable while the inflation is the independent variable. Through an increase in the employment rate there is a positive impact on the Inflation. Inflation is dependent on the employment rate. If a majority of individuals in the country are employed, it is highly likely that there will be a decrease in the inflation rate (OECD, 2013). Having reviewed the effects of renewable sources of energy in Spain, it is inevitable to state there are a number of positive impacts especially on the unemployment rate.
