Introduction:
According to World Health Organizations, health promotion is the act of enabling people increase and boosts their control of health and the factors that determine good health. In order to ensure proper health conditions, health promotion programs are put in place at different levels for health proper conditions to be equated among people. This paper describes the work place health promotion program and conducts an interview with a managerial personality of the program, in order to come up with a hypothetical plan for the organization.
The workplace health promotion program focuses on the intervention and prevention that reduces the health risk factors of employees. This program combines the efforts of employees, employers, and the society at large to improve the well being and the health status of people at work place. This establishment is one of the priority settings in the twenty first century due to its influence on the mental, economic, physical, and social well being of its people. It also offers an ideal and proper infrastructure and setting in support of the promotion of the health care program.
The interview:
The following is an interview I conduct with the key management personalities of this health promotion program.
Me: Please share a general statistical data about the health conditions of your workers.
Manager: Currently all our employees have stable medical conditions due to regular check up from our well equipped medical staff.
Me: How do employees respond to any form of new care systems of individuals?
Manager: It is mandatory in our company that any form of medical care system that is introduced and has a positive influence on the health care of our employees be exercised. They, therefore, have to bear with the activity and accept.
Me: What are the threshold medical condition levels that the company requires in order to hire a new employee?
Manager: A medical examination is conducted in order to determine the HIV status of our employees. Other medical delicate medical conditions are also examined and a lab report issued.
Me: Please share the health care measures you use to ensure the health of your workers are taken care of
Manager: We have a consistent check up, where a medical report of our employees is issued on a three month period and the medical records preserved. We also ensure that all our workers are covered by the health care insurance policy.
Looking at the brief interview with the manager of the program, it is easy to draw a proper health care system and policy for each employee just from the records of their health files. This, therefore, can help boost the health condition of these individuals, in turn exercise an efficient health care program.
