Human behavior is of the nature that it is socially learned from the time one is born and used to cope in different environments and situations. The outcomes that we realize based on our behaviors are either positive or negative and impact us differently. Even so, it is through our experiences that we learn better how to shape our behaviors. Two outstanding experiences led me to experience both positive and somewhat negative outcomes, and the results of my behaviors primarily determined these outcomes.
My cousin and I are age mates, and despite having been raised in different towns, we maintained a good relationship. Our relationship advanced more when we both looked forward to engaging in marriage, and I found myself trying to frequently communicate with him, interact more, and openly address issues that raised concerns in my mind. In our interaction, I realize that we significantly helped each other on aspects concerning marriage and our personal lives. It is through this interaction that my intimate relationship and marriage became a success.
On the other hand, two years ago, I had to make a tough decision when I chose to pursue higher education, and this mandated me to leave my home Bronx and move to Herkimer College in New York. Being in a far place away from home, life seemed a bit difficult, and I sought ways to help me cope. When feeling lonely, I could take significant time to communicate with my loved ones back home or even sometimes leave college and go home for some days. During this time, I would lose considerable study time. Ultimately, the outcomes of my behaviors led me to have bad grades in my courses, a situation that made me regret my actions and behaviors.
