As far as we know any logistic web contains a lot of components which should be united in one machine in order to achieve the highest result or a big profit. Such components consist of people who will sell or vendors, people who will distribute, people who will transport, the ways of transportation, the places of keeping the goods and etc. All this tools should be composed in unity working as inseparable organism. But the matter of optimization such so-called organism very often may be a stress for each person in this chain.
A lot of experts are hired in order to complete this task but what they always forget is that the key to the successful managing is in a communication. According to Jeff Vielhaber (2015) “we should make all the new technologies communicate with the old ones or even find the way to replace them”(p. 2). No company can achieve success in its field without communication between all the existing departments. Tracking all the process within your subdivision, uploading it into accounting system, checking whether all the shipments are up to schedule are an essential parts of getting to upper level of business ladder. We can imagine what horrible mistakes can be caused by such flaws in delivery of information and communication.
Before talking about new ways and means of improving your logistic system every person in your team should think about the goals and objectives of your job in order to know whether you achieve success or not. Each department should be provided with its own peculiar tasks bound to a common goal. This approach will optimize the business process and make a so-called net of your workers and divisions. To work properly every part of such mechanism should be interrelated and connected to each other and to the centre. The important thing is to mark your strong and weak points to be able easily improve the flaws, fix them with the help of strong aspects and to observe how they influence your business. Consider your staff`s opinion about time management, amount of work, tasks and goals and other business details.
The communication should be spread on all levels of your company, from the lowest to the highest. Vielhaber (2015) says that “regularly exchange of data is an essential component on our way of optimization working process” (p. 1). All the received data should be read and analyzed. We live in the XXI century so we can easily communicate with the help of phone, computers, satellites and other ways. It will help you to provide against your future demands and supply all the relevant data, software, tools and materials which will not be out-timed in few years. The enlargement and progression of the company should be complete on all its levels simultaneously so you will not have some departments or processes be older than others. For example, the workers are taught to work with one tool for refining the material but when you update the tools so they are modern and better you should in some manner update your workers by educating them to work with new tools. And when you observe persistent failure of one system the attention should be also paid to other systems in order to provide against making the same mistake.
This approach will be good for fixing the integrated logistic business system with the help of communication not focusing on small departments but considering the big picture of a process. So we should not forget that such fixing cannot be done rapidly but requires some time and efforts.
Vielhaber (2015) suppose that “we should skip all the flash fix and make us ready for new era of integrated approach to optimization the logistic process and its communication”(p. 2). We should understand our business task, objective and be able to use new technologies, upgrades and mechanism for its achieving. We should use the method of induction by looking at the logistic system as a whole unit, not separately as we used to it. Each tool and person should be in harmony with each other working inseparably in order to provide the profit. In modern society the more information you possess the stronger you are, so we believe that exchanging of information is what can make you powerful in the business world.
