Introduction
It is a film that is directed by Paul Haggis and he is the writer. A crime drama film was released in the USA on April 21of the year 2005.It is a story of Los Angeles were over a period of thirty-six hours a small number of desperate people lives as they try to cope up with life in the city where race relations belies their life. Among the major players are a Caucasian district attorney, and he always uses the race as his political creed. His caucacusian wife see his opinion that crime is associated with the black as justified since she had been recently carjacked by two black men. The two black carjackers uses there race to their advantage and also it as an excuse, Partnered Caucasian police uses his authority to go on and harass non white and the other who despises his partner because of his racial opinions. A black film and her very beautiful black wife who in her opinion, think that her husband does not support their black background to great extent, especially in the light of how the white cops are racist.
There is also partnered police detective who at sometimes are lover, that is a Hispanic female and a black male. An East Asian man who is always a run over but always hide valuable cargo at the back of his car. There is also a Persian shopkeeper man who always feels unsatisfied when his shop is robbed repeatedly. In addition, there is a Hispanic locksmith who his intention is always to keep his family safe and especially her daughter. The acting and story line of this film rotate among detective, crime and scene of crime.
The film “crash” incorporates characters that have different characters as well as race. As a result, every confrontation directly leads to violence. The violence magnitude openly signifies aspect of racism. The movie has effectively established character believability. The different characters and the effect they take on issues concerning character crashing. The film is established from a script that keeps the level of tension very high towards the audience. It is characterized by merciless verbal battering and frustrating demonstrations of hatred (Taulbee, 2006).
The editing of the film crash 2004 seems to be a challenging contest since it consists intertwining characters differing in race, ethnic, social and cultural bagrounds over a period of 36 hours. The movie further examines bigotry and fear from various perspectives in the urban world (Los Angeles). For instance, in scene 2 which begins when Cameron Thayer attempts to escape a carjacking by two black men but he is made to retaliate. The editing in this scene utilizes a combination of camera shots from streets. Shots are from inside and shots from the top of the police vehicles in addition with the sound from the police cars’ sirens and the police radio.

The viewers of the movie Crash 2004 by Paul Haggis as if it is not portraying what is expected. Most of them criticize the movie as they watch. They see as if it is full of racism only. This becomes a hindrance to the narration and showing of the film. Most of the people prejudge the film and thus this makes other viewers of the film not to take keen interest on the film. This affects the passing of the message into the society. Most of the viewers in the society view the movie as a boring story. Most of the people in Los Angeles asked hard questions concerning racism different individual levels (Taulbee, 2004). They also portrayed some realities which were harsh that are normally avoided on the big screen. Most critics view and judge the film differently. Some of them see the characters and criticize that they are not perfect enough to act in the film. All this criticisms affect the narration and presentation of the film as prejudgment makes other viewers to neglect the film. Therefore, the message cannot be fully passed in to the society (Taulbee, 2004).
On the other hand, the film affected the society in different ways. The film touches on very many issues affected the society .It presented the reality to the society. After watching the movie, people learnt very important lessons. The movie touches on racism sexual violence crime, politics, international human trafficking, family structures and bonds. People learnt the impacts on these activities (Taulbee, 2004).Therefore, are enlightened on this issue. The film also depicts different which the married couple’s problems and how to solve them. The movie is portrayed to belong to a genre that has been flourishing in the recent years. The movie makes the audience to acknowledge and accept the roles in the society.
