Kant has a very interesting opinion about people and animals. He thinks that people should not be killing animals. However, the reason is not that animals are dying. He believed that people who are capable of killing animals are usually cruel to the other human beings. Kant said that all the people are important. One of the reasons is because people have goals and desires. The other reason is that they have dignity. People cannot use each other. It does not matter how good our intentions are, people should respect each other. Jeremy bentham believes that all the punishment is unuseful and bad. However, there is a justification of the punishment in cases when we punish the criminals because many people as a result feel better. The notion of treatment may substitute punishment. Kant believes that people should be punished for crimes only. There is no other reason to punish them. Also, he justifies capital punishment. He justifies it in the way that is a person killed someone, the only way to justify it is to kill the murderer.
