Good Leadership, Learning, Service, And Global Awareness At Florida State University Essay Example

Florida State University is more than just a world-class academic institution preparing young adults for a future career. Florida State is a caring community of well-rounded individuals who embrace leadership, learning, service and global awareness. Leadership and learning are the characteristics that appeal to me most. Being the oldest child of three and the oldest grandchild of ten, I am continually forced to lead by example to show my younger siblings and cousins the right way to go. In my opinion, in order to be a great leader you must always be willing to learn.
Authority for me is paramount for various issues. Among them, is to be able to make wise and informed decisions for myself. In addition, I need direction to make decisions that affect my whole family. Therefore, acquiring administration skills will help in making me a good role model to my younger siblings and all those who look up to me. Accordingly, influence appeals to me because I take pride in others looking to me for guidance and encouragement. Through my pain and my trying times in my young life, I still find myself being positive and using my pain as a way to encourage others to do better in whatever it is they are doing.
Education is not something you do only at school. Through education, supportive parents, and my mistakes I have learned an overabundance of necessary knowledge and life lessons to continue being a great leader.
Knowledge is essential to coincide with the rest of the world. While I plan on pursuing a major in mass/media communications, I recognize everything that I must grasp to pursue a career later in sports reporting. I intend to learn in order to be aware of many different issues that will help sharpen my decision-making. .I am a softball player. Knowledge has helped me through teamwork, coaches and doing my part with the skills and talent that you have to help win the game. Education will also ensure that am knowledgeable and abreast with the current issues. In the same way, I intend to learn in order to increase and gain global awareness to understand issues that are affecting the world at large. It is my intention that with the management skills, knowledge acquired, and global awareness that I will be of service not only to my family but also to the society at large.
Having faced family problems due to my parents’ separation, where I had to spend a week with either of them alternatively, I appreciate more the importance of control, training and global awareness. I will devote myself to being a good leader that can help the members of the community overcome their problems by good decision-making
In like manner, Florida State University students offer a well globally informed, learned, and wise decision makers. The student fraternity is easy to educate, direct and manage to foster the growth and performance of the university.
