Toronto is the largest city in Canada, with an estimated population of above 2.6 million people. The city is also one of the most multicultural cities in the world with about 49 percent of the inhabitants claiming their ethnic origins to different parts of the world including the Middle East, Asia, Europe, other parts of America, and a few from the African continent. In 2010, the median household income in the city was $58,000. The household with incomes above $150,000 was 12.6 percent and that above 100,000 percent was 26 percent. The average personal income of the males in Toronto was $52,000 in 2010, which was $15,000 higher than the women.
The NFL-CFL interleague game, which took place at exhibition stadium in 1959, marked the commencement of National Football League in Toronto, Canada. Toronto is the fourth most populous city in North America. However, there are no professional American football teams in the Canadian Football League. Buffalo Bills have had very many fans in Toronto, Canada. There are very many Canadians watching the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. The competition between the United States and Canada has been visualized by the need to move the Buffalo Bills to Toronto.
Even though research indicates that, a National Football League team can co-exist with the Canadian Football League, a poll administered on the Canadian sports culture by University of Lethbridge sociologist Reginald Bibby indicate that, this coexistence sis only permissible if it is considered as friendly to the Canadian Football League. The sports-crazy city of North America has a higher number of sport lovers. After the rejection of the Canadian Football Act, which would prohibit American Football League clubs from participating in the NFL, efforts have been made to ensure that the regions, which cannot afford to construct new stadiums or renovate the existing stadiums host the AFL clubs.
Based on the high population of the city, the cultural diversities, the level of the income of its populations, and friendly government incentives as well as the sports-crazy culture, moving Buffalo Bills to Toronto, Canada, would be a profitable move to the club and its Toronto fans.
