Globalization has signalled a new form of society; however, it is not new because most of its elements are a continuation of past forms of interlinked societies. Globalization entails the process of integration and interaction among individuals. Research indicates that international transactions and interactions drive it while information technology facilitates its proliferation.
The significance of this study will be felt across all regions of the globe because it will be an important source of background information as well as a study of numerous questions that people will reflect upon for many years to come.

In this book, the author evaluates the concept of globalization in regards to the notion that the world is flat. Friedman further includes crucial information and insights to assist the reader to understand the idea that globalization entails a continuation of ideas, developments, and basic forms of previous societies. I will use this resource to support the idea that globalization is a continuation of some of the innovations and concepts that were introduced by earlier generations.
