Artistic features and products displays varied information and themes that relate to developments in the society. The mixed artistic features such as paintings, sculptures, drawings, sketches and photography among others display varied messages besides fluffing the aesthetic features in artistic products. Art has impacted positively to society from the ancient and present times due the many positive developments that arise from art work. The numerous styles and techniques used in art has enabled artists come up with varied artistic products that have amazed many generations and achieved great recognition across a bigger society. Great artistic products described as ones enabling the viewers and audience of such pieces to make and understand meaning with ease that is displayed by the varied artists. The pieces have display information that that viewer can relate to in the sociological aspects that include culture, history, philosophy and politics among others that dominate and are common in the society. However, this paper presents two great works by Juan Patricio Morlete titled View of the Town and Port of Bayonne (1713-1772), and that of David Alfaro Siqueiros titled Landscape in Red (1896-1974). It compares them and analyzing the artistic features used to present them and styles used that have made the two pieces achieve great recognition in the field of art.
The piece View of the Town and Port of Bayonne produced by Juan Patricio Morlete an American is a painting that uses oil technique produced on canvas. The unframed sizes of the piece are 100.3 x 150.8 cm in measurement while when put of frame the measurements adjusts a little bit to reach 110.81 x 163.83 x 7.62 cm. It describes Latin American art produced in the year 1771. It is a painting done on canvas that uses oil paint techniques that displays and describes the town and the port. It displays the various activities that transpire in such setups that included fishing, transportation, warehousing and business sin general between the traders that use the facilities. On the other hand, the piece Landscape in Red by David Alfaro Siqueiros is a painting produced on acrylic board that describes Latin American art. The measurement of the piece is 66.04 x 101.6 cm. It describes the landscape in red displaying varied themes through the piece. It got produced in the year 1969 in Mexico.
The piece by Juan Patricio Morlet View of the Town and Port of Bayonne presents great uses of artistic styles and techniques that resulted into a great work noted from the piece. There is a variety of themes that result from the work that makes it easy for the viewers and the audience to analyze and understand meaning and information displayed by the artists with ease (Morlet, 1). It gives the piece a realistic interpretation and conformity by the audience because there is no contrast created by the image in terms of misplacements of objects or styles chosen and used in the image. S The inclusions of natural features in paintings as noted from the piece provides the additional view and aesthetic nature that is attributed to the natural world as this results into high artistic pictures and products that conform to the required and stated standards. It majorly uses color to display the varied themes in it and the color is well chosen and displayed within the article. The bright colors placed in the center of the piece to with other sections and areas using a slightly darker color and this style and techniques are designed to help the viewers analyze the piece correctly (Siqueiros, 1). The piece represents the modern style of art that was revolutionized from the ancient styles and believes that art had to be pure and represent only the natural features and world. From the choice of color, the theme displayed is easily analyzed meaning the danger that is displayed in the society from the piece. Different colors display and relay varied meaning and information relating to the themes and developments in the society.
The two pieces display great artistic styles that present aesthetic features. The piece by Juan Patricio Morlet View of the Town and Port of Bayonne displays scenario that relates to the natural world and natural features reinforcing and reinstating the beauty of the natural world. The foreground, middle and background of the piece is balanced and presented that shows the beauty of the world that incorporates both natural and manmade features in the piece. On the other hand, a piece by David Alfaro Siqueiros, Landscape in Red displays great use of color that display and relays many messages due to the styles used and features that make it challenging for the audience to relate and associate it with any natural features. It, therefore, allows varied interpretations that suit the piece representing modern style of art. The beauty displayed by the two pieces makes them fulfill the aesthetic value of artistic products. The size allows them to be displayed into strategic places within buildings and institutions to reach and fulfill the aesthetic attention within them.
