In “Same Love” music video, Macklemore provides support for the gay marriage equal opportunity. The video begins by showing the young boys' childhood and how he came to notice and realize his sex status at a young age. When her mother first heard the news, she denied the fact that her son could be gay. He spent most of her time crying about another issue being bullied at the same time. As the video proceeds, there is an indication of how happy he was and how he obtained a few acceptances from his peers. When the video ends, there is a marriage taking place between him and the man he loves. At that moment the family was present, and it is shown how they are happy and very proud of their son for being true to himself. Overall, the video clip supports equal rights for the same-sex marriage.
There are various petitions to logos within the same music video clip “Same Love.” Macklemore is shown as a successful music artist and most people like his music and listen to it. By making Macklemore talk about same sex marriage and the way he feels about that subject issue automatically predispose individuals to relentlessly listen to what his lyrics say and what the song is about. Macklemore fans could probably have different perceptions of their views about same-sex marriage in case they haven’t watched the video yet. There are a few flashbacks to the days of Martin Luther King which provides the viewer with the concept that every individual was equally created, and nobody should be discriminated at all costs. The record has in it lyrics that include “the love of God for all the children is in one way or the other forgotten about, bust still people rephrase books written thirty-five hundred years back.” These lyrics prove logical since they provide the suggestion that in cases people choose to paraphrase the Bible and view it in the concept of “the love of God for all the children, “then in what way does that exclude same-sex marriage?
Most ethos forms are included in the video. Because Macklemore is considered a well known and famous artist, the audience will consider him and have trust in the home and whatever he is putting the attempt to persuade or say. Same-sex marriage and equal opportunity are a major controversial issue of concern that is yet to come to a conclusion. It was a good acknowledgment to have Macklemore illustrates the ideas and thoughts he had through composing music. A lot of people have relation to the music and the spoken lyrics. The trust the Macklemore’s people show in him provides him with the opportunity of re-thinking the idea of same-sex marriage and the possible equal rights that should be awarded to everyone in that group.
Pathos, in this case, is considered the main and very significant aspect that the music video illustrates. When there is an emotional attachment between two people, there is a possibility of being persuaded and conceived. An image displayed in the video was that of the main actor who in his current situation was a teenager, crying helplessly in bed after the mother confronted him and vigorously question him on the issue regarding him being gay, and if by any chance such was true. Depression is always engraved in people at the site of a crying person, but it is different when the case is of a younger person—it hurts even more.
In the lyrics, “the world full of a lot of hatred someone would rather die instead of being who they are” brings a double though to viewers about the issue of making fun or criticizing an individual who is of the same sex with their partners and making them feel horrible about who they are. These verses assist every individual to be aware of what implications name calling has and how hurtful these words can be to a victim of the situation. In the video, a scene covers one part where the main character attends a party together with his friends, and they choose to play a game known as spin the bottle. A lady does his spinning part and the bottle points at him. He laughs as a sigh of angularity and plays it off but inside him, he has doubts about the situation. This scene brings to views attention about how depressing such situations can be because of the moments that prove embarrassing when with other people.
In conclusion, same-sex marriage is one of the most important constitutional issues that people face today. To some, that might seem an overstatement in theses days of concern over civil liberties and other pressing issues. But same sex marriage is one of the issues most directly challenging our commitment to genuine legal equality. Although people disagree about the specifics, there are broad agreements within legal and academic qualities that all person should have the same legal rights regardless of their race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or religion. “Some Love” is, therefore, a music that is made for one reason, and it is to provide an explanation that everyone has equal rights and therefore, deserves to choose on whom to marry.
