Introduction
This memo seeks to highlight some important information, recommendation and action to be taken to maximise the usefulness of the new store to the local community. This memo will deal mostly with the structure of the supply of the new store. The research team’s recommendations will clearly point out about the store strategic positioning of the store. The paper also will look at the factors in the surrounding community where the store operates and how to maximise its usefulness.
Years of solid growth and financial success led to the opening of this new store since this store will serve the city population. The main reason for this was due to the demographic reasons, economic growth, and purchasing power. The population is large and it targets all class individuals. Therefore, through the extensive research, the top management made created opportunity for expansion and business growth.
The research team’s recommendations are as below: strategic positioning of the store. Noodles Company should be strategic. There is need for advertising the opening of this new store to drive numbers to purchase items. The store needs to be strategic for easy accessibility and in a secure environment such that even at night people feel safe to do shopping. In addition, strategic placement ensures that even in shows its representation is in the most attractive positions or shopping centers. Employees run the company except when franchising companies sell on few occasions. However, franchising will not be a strategy of sustainability or expansion.
As the new store opens, the existing stores remain active and there is need to create awareness of all of them for growth for the company at large. Therefore, there is need to factor in strategies that will lead` to long term sustainability such as recycling waste, impacting the community around the stores, purchasing or using more environmental friendly items, and using energy saving systems (Burke, 1997).
There is need to set up a digital team or department to meet the online market that is expanding rapidly. This includes young people who purchase their items trough smart phones or any digital platforms. As the word digitizes, the store needs to find a digital space where customers can easily order and receive their purchased items with convenience.
Noodles Company has an already existing digital space in all the states. The application is mobile adaptive and is popular with the existing customers. The digital team will educate new customers on where to download the application for all devices and an easy way to purchase items. All stores countrywide have discount sales online on discount Wednesdays and cheap Fridays.
There is need to factor in the surrounding community where the store operates. Economic contributions to these communities are significant. Modes of contribution include; paying the local government or county royalties and taxes. This in the long-term contribute to local and national development such as growth in infrastructure and offering of public goods and services. In addition, the store will get its employees from these communities, which in turn leads to contributions through salaries, community investment, distributors, and procurement.
There is also an expectation that these stores will maintain the ethical standard set. This includes transparent disclosure especially in giving tenders and in interaction with the local government. This is true specifically through lobbying, paying royalties and taxes. It also includes strong anti-corruption procedures (Roderick A. W. Rhodes, 1980).
The stores have set a standard where it tops as the strong advocate in respecting human rights. Many new companies are potential in underlining or supporting human rights. These rights include; wages and hours to work. This may take place directly through its own activities or indirectly through business relations such as those with contractors, suppliers, third parties, or the government. Respecting human rights is also a form of positively affecting communities living around the store.
