Garmin features aid the user in having an effective navigation on the road. The installed features include electronic compass, which is 3-axis and tilt-compensated, automatic routing, which aids the user in turning on roads, 5 megapixel autofocus camera, compatible custom maps, picture viewer, area calculation, tide tables, barometric altimeter, information on the moon and sun, hunt calendar, paperless geocaching, and custom points of interest. The GPS also has a base map, built-in memory, and provides the user with an opportunity to add maps. Further, the GPS has a longer battery life (up to 22 hours), is waterproof, has higher speed of interface interaction, and high-sensitivity receiver. The display type of the GPS is transflective 65k color TFT with a resolution of WxH: 272 × 480 pixels while the size is 5.06 cm width × 8.93 cm height × 10.2 cm length.
The GPS device is slim, has a glossy black case, which is smooth, and a fine chrome trim. Garmin uses USB24 cable, which enables users to connect to various USB devices in their PCs. On the same note, type A to mini-B USB cables are also adaptable to this device. The GPS uses USB-G4 serial adapter, which enables connection of the gadget to other GPS devices. Further, the device uses a com port, which enables connection of USB cable to a PC. Communication of signals takes place via CNCA0 (com0com). Moreover, the device uses Bluetooth via a GPS COM Port. The GPS uses Garmin USB, which allows effective download, upload of PVT data, and stores this data in GPX files.
Function
The GPS uses sunset and sunrise feature to calculate the time of sunset and sunrise with reference to an individual’s location.
