Alternative are important because they provided varied ways in which a given objective can be achieved thus influencing the decision-making process since they will enable the decision maker to compare the alternative and select the best with respect to various assumptions. In my life, when I was choosing the course to study at the university, I analyzed my interests and passions and devised ways in which I could pursue to achieve this objective. Through consultation and self-reflection, I choose a business focused course since it will match my skills and competencies from an array of various mathematics based course which will lead me to my destination. When the structure of the decision changes, it means that a different alternative is chosen but the objective remains the same. Therefore, it means one will utilize another approach in arriving at the same destination. For instance, In my case, pursuing a mathematically focused course will still lead me to the career choice I desire but I will have approached it from a highly numerical background as opposed to a highly business focused background.

The three techniques can improve on the decision criteria. The three approaches assist the decision maker to identify and map relationship thus enabling the decision maker to explore an alternative that optimizes the outcome of the decision. A visual representation of facts that are being considered has a cognitive effect on the decision maker since they will present the facts in a visual way which makes understanding easier by enabling the decision maker to see the relationships which help in the optimization process guided by the established assumptions.
These techniques can be applied in personal budgeting in that one can manage to understand the spending habits, savings habits and investing habits of family resources since these are the three major component of family budgeting.
An influence diagram refers to a generalization of a Bayesian network that shows the interrelationship between the decision-making problems and probabilistic inference.
Influence table is a tabular network that captures the interrelationships where the influence flows from the raw to the column
A tree diagram is a technique that gives the decision maker the ability to examine the lines which represent the processes and relationships with the aim of understanding the interrelationship in a chronological manner thus the end results.
Alternatives and Structuring of Assumptions
Yes, God had an alternative plan. Adam and Eve having defied God in their action, God initiated the salvation plan in order to restore the relationship with humans. As such, he sent his only Son, Jesus, to die for Man's sin.
There are alternative gifts manifested in individuals. The objective of these gifts is the glorification of God. As such, they are varied ways in which human glorify God through this seven which make them alternate. My gift is fortitude.
