After PRADA implements the new paper policy in within the organization, the quantity of paper recycled increased. For example, in September, the difference between the weight of paper recycled in 2013 and 2012 is approximately 2,300 kg paper. Departments in the future years; the company will intensify it campaign of encouraging the employees to recycle waste papers. Therefore, PRADA will be able to minimise paper as a major cost effective material while expanding digital communications. The results will reach out to a sustainable and healthier paper wastes in the group.

Notably, the customers of the company use products made from renewable sources, for example cotton and latter, recycles papers, leather, plastics and in addition works closely with La Reserve de Arts that collects unwanted wastes from the company for recycling. In terms of reduction, Louis Vuitton uses the latest technology operations, which has seen it to save 70 tonnes of packaging material per year.
In addition, Louis Vuitton review latest models of product, energy and employee transport. Consequently, they have been able to come up with photovoltaic panels to generate electricity using natural light for the artisans. Further, it encourages the employees to lead a healthy lifestyle for example by encouraging them to walk to work or even or even cycle. Lastly, the company produces leathers that can be repaired or even last through generations.
Louis Vuitton utilises the cost effective raw material and produces high quality products (Introduction to Operations Management n.d). In addition, it has intensified online distribution of its products to the customers. Louis Vuitton capitalises on its previous years’ experience while taking into account the societal landscapes and future global trends. That has led to formulations of policies that ensure growth. PRADA can incorporate a number of strategies to enhance sustainability. For instance, it can incorporate other luxurious brands for example Louis Vuitton for better results. Better still, they can make sure they have systematic checking systems that the existing strategies are in practice. In addition, Prada can join R & D exhibition workshop where Louis Vuitton is a member in order to learn sustainability strategies of the company.
Successes
One of the major successes of PRADA is attributed to good policy and customer service. The company has had an increased online presence to ensure customers are served properly. In addition, the company is in the forefront in using environmental friendly materials for example leather and is advocating for recycling of materials for example paper, leather and among others.
Policy Modifications
The policy can be modified and include detailed aspects of fusing technology in the operation as well as empowering human resource. For example in reducing the amount of packaging material Prada can encourage supplies using paper for packaging to take it back for recycling as a prerequisite for doing business.
Changes Required
In incorporating latest technology to its operations, the company may consider to formulate policies that will be aimed at encouraging a partnership with other companies. For instance, PRADA may consider a partnership with Louis Vuitton, by doing so; PRADA can be able to strategically employ ideas learned from such partnership for manual benefit.
Secondly, PRADA may consider policies that utilise cost effective raw material and produces high quality products. The material may be characterised as renewable and can be recycles. Meaning that, the company will minimise the amount of wastes arising from processing.
Lastly, a policy that will intensify online branding of its products to the customers will be worth to consider. Principally, it has a strong presence in both.
