Good Report On Social Enterprise For A Day

Our social enterprise project objective was to develop an idea that would give us money. To make the project lively and innovative, we had 15 groups and every group developed its ideas of generating social money. My group had 8 participants. We planned to perform this social enterprise to collect money for charity. It was an enthusiast event that helped us discover the secrets and challenges of soliciting money for charity.
In our group of 8 people, we brainstormed on several ideas that would maximize our objective of a social enterprise. It was on Friday when we commenced our business. Unexpectedly the weather changed, and we had to reschedule our business rollout. We saw it wise to commence our business at 10:30 AM rather than 12 Noon as we had focused.
Our group social business goal was to allow potential customers to give Monty Mystical a hug. Then a pitcher with Monty and afterward the customer was requested to have his or her name written in Arabic.
The social business took place at Halifax downtown (Argyle St, Barrington St, and Spring Garden Road). We approached the passers-by and requested to give Monty Mystical a hug. To appeal to more clients, we some of our group members to raise the banners they were holding high. This enabled us to create attention, and several people came to know what we were up to. It is in this process that we upped our entrepreneurial skills and enticed a few customers into tasting our services.
Since am a talented artist who understands different languages I was bestowed the role of writing people’s name in Arabic. This is one part of the services of our social business that I was going to offer. My college mate Ahmed was the given the role of collecting money while Lauren and Hussain were to hold banners that advertised what we were doing. The banners made far away customers to notice and wish to know what our group was doing. Khalid was the wearing Monty Mystic while Mohammed was dancing with Monty Mystic. The other remaining two group members; Amy and Felicia led the group as they were the one talking to customers and advising them the kind of services we were offering.
This event was an eye opener for me. I learned that with the positive mind we can do great things and pursue any legal business we dream off. People were so positive and willing to test our services. Though some customers did not see the fun of having their names inscribed in Arabic as they knew little about it, they gave us more ideas of how we can expand our business. Before we returned to school at 1.00 PM, we had met many people with different talents.
Our most loyal customers were parents with kids who found Monty Mystic very alluring. In this character, I discovered that every business should have a certain target group. Our social enterprise was appealing more to children and women; hence, it could have worked better if we took it to playgrounds or near schools when children were leaving home with their parents. Again, our business would have realized a huge profit if we scheduled it on weekends when kids were out of schools. This is because they would be out with their parents; hence, admire our services more.
We also discovered the power of marketing. Many customers came to test our services due to how they were told it looked lovely. The group members carrying the banners made the group be noticed at a distant; hence, making potential customers come crosser and cure their curiosity of what we were doing. Yes! The banners made the clients come nearer our services but upon coming to our business, it was the duty of Felicia and Amy to make the clients continue and utilize our services. The front people in every business offering customers services determine a lot on whether the potential customer will trust the company and invest in it or go away. The mode of communication, character and thorough treatment shown to a customer was very critical.
Whenever a customer asked a question, all the others listened carefully to the given response and the tone the customer services agents used. We noted that when Amy and Felicia took the time to explain to customers our intention of our enterprise, some were touched and offered support even if they did not use our services. I learned that honesty and reliability are paramount to a successful business.
We had limited as we only spent 3 hours providing services and within that time our group made $53. We could have done a lot, but we were frequently interrupted by rain. Some of our customers had to go back to enjoying our services to evade heavy rain drops.
