The field of art is among the broad subjects noted in the society. It entails using creativity and talent as well as available resources for communicated to the audience and viewers of the artistic piece being presented. The essence of art is to communicate certain varied themes to their audience that either informs, entertain or educates the audience over many issues of life. Musicians have impacted greatly on the field of art through music that has transformed and shaped the society in many varied ways. However, this paper analyzes the impact that Duke Ellington’s work (Jazz music) had to the society.
Elington brought a unique style to jazz music that had never been experienced before. He considered himself as an arranger and composer a side fro the fact that he was a great musician. Ellington spends many years nurturing and developing his music and career that made him among the great that have ever lived. He shaped and revolutionized jazz music that inspired many more artists not only in the jazz music, but also across other fields and genres of music (Ellington, 1). During his professional career, Ellington won 12 Grammy awards over four decades that he was active in music as an artist.
Out of his ability and talent that he composed several masterpieces that propelled him to fame and that inspired other artists and set standards for them. His music and experience in the business has turned out to be the benchmark that standards of good jazz music have been measured and determined. He had what described as a musical drama that made him stand out because it enabled him present various themes within the society that the audience related to in life was. His great pieces that blended melodies, rhythms, and subtle sonic movements gave the audience complex yet accessible jazz that have revolutionized the industry up to date.
