Marriage is the process in which two people make their relationship official, permanent and public. It is the union of the two people in love whose are intending their bond to last till death but sometimes it is cut short by divorce and separation. In many culture marriage is respected since it a sign of continuation of the second generation. Since out of this marriage children are expected to be born and raised up as responsible adults. Thus, it is common to find the start of a new marriage is marked with a ceremony (wedding) where the couples receive gifts and prayers which many cultures believe are essential in the start of a new family (Basu, 2014).
Marriage provide a safe and rich haven where the couple in the marriage enjoy the pleasure of life together and also help each other in times of weakness or difficulties. The couple share the responsibilities of raising the family and providing adequate care and support for the children. However, marriage also faces some difficulties and conflict on a daily basis (Basu, 2014). But, the core values and reasons on which the marriage was formed make the couple stay together.
Any marriage will work well when the positive relationships outweigh the negative. There are issues which someone should adhere to make the family move smoothly and last forever. There are truth about marriage that can also tears the marriage apart or bind the marriage forever (Claudio, 2013). A lasting marriage must have ability to resolve conflict. The intense fighting or any fighting within the family may not necessarily a sign of a problem if in that fighting both couple airs out complaints and grievances. The relationship of the couple will grow when they used this conflict to reconcile their differences due to the fact they will enhance their love and experience the fruits of marriage. More so, the frequency of fights, physiological responses and facial expressions will show the true color of the marriage (Claudio, 2013).
