Response One
Myriad psychologists now agree to the notion that media violence and video games have a major impact on the aggressive behavior. While there is a consensus amongst the experts in this field about its impact on behavior but there is no way of knowing if a certain behavior is induced by media violence or video games (Borgida, 2008). For example, a young individual opening fire in a university campus to kill fellow students might give an idea that he might be inclined by media or video games, but the link cannot be establish. The major reason behind this is the possibility that this particular individual might be having a troubled childhood due to which he has developed such a kind of behavior. He can also be induced to do this action due to any sort of religious ideology.
Response Two
A multitude of scientific models explains the various kinds of psychological reasons behind any action. In the case of identifying if a specific case or specific type of violence is linked to violence in media or video games, there are no scientific methods to do so (Merino, 2011). This is a difficult subject to deal with and more evidence is required so that a direct relationship can be established between them. There is a need to evaluate the life history of the offenders to check if it shows any evidence of having any influence from media violence and video games. The aggregation of such kind of cases will be helpful to create a model that will help people to establish the notion that a specific case or a specific type of violence is influenced by media violence and video games.
