Introduction
This interview project was involved the Advanced practitioner nurse in New York. The interview was about the various ways in which this nurse the roles and responsibilities in the hospital. The interview also concerns the ways in which the practitioner nurse handles various projects relating to the care of patients in the hospital. The aspects relating to the nursing care of the children is covered fully in relation to this interview. This project gives the questions relating to the role of the nurse in taking care of sick children focus and emphasis. The treatment and care of the young is an important aspect in the role of nurses because children require special care since they cannot talk about how they feel. The planning procedures by the Advanced Practitioner Nurse are also outlined in an interview in order to help understand the way in which the nurse plan their tasks and activities in the nursing homes or hospitals. This helps in understanding the actual role of nursing in relation to scheduling of their activities and tasks so as to ensure proper care of the patients in the nursing homes or hospitals. The aspects relating to the management and leadership practices in nursing have also been discussed in the interview in order to show the nurses manage their roles and activities in their places of work. The interview process shows the extent of questions relating to nursing and the advanced level of practice by the nurse being interviewed. In relation to this interview project, the aspects relating to the professional role, accountability and responsibility are discussed in detail. The professional standards in nursing have been tested and assessed in this interview in order to determine whether the professional aspects are mastered by the practicing nurses in the advanced environment. The aspects relating to patient consultancy are tested and assessed. The aspects relating to consultation are of the essence in ensuring that the nurses can get the needs of the patients clearly so as to facilitate the whole nursing process. The aspects relating to the interaction between the patients and the nursing area also assessed in the interview in order to determine the suitability of the nurses in communicating with the patients. The aspects dealing with clinical practice are covered in the interview leadership project (Smith, 2013, p.22). This determines whether nurses observe the ethical standards and aspects in the society. The federal and provincial legislation pertaining to nursing and healthcare also evaluated in this interview. The policies relating to a registered nurse practitioner are reflected in this leadership interview project.
The interview project also helped in showing the critical nursing skills and expertise that help them carry out their roles and duties in an effective manner. The role of the nurse practitioners in advocating for the needs of the patients in healthcare. They ensure that the clients have proper access to healthcare facilities. The nurse practitioner showed the leadership qualities in relation to the collaboration with other members in the healthcare profession. This is important in the sense that it enables the proper flow of activities of the nurses in the health care provision. The project interview also reflected the quality improvement in relation to the role of nurses in their professions. The way the nurses carried out their activities are seen to show value addition to the lives of the patients and the clients they take care of. The interview also reflected the ability of the nurses to interact effectively with the patients in order to determine their problems and needs that require medical attention and care. Communication skills and negotiation aspects are also shown in the interview. This shows that the nurse practitioner is in a position to handle various problems relating to the clients and patients in the most appropriate manner.
The nurse practitioner shows the leadership qualities in the sense that the characteristics of a role model and educator are reflected in an interview. The quality of the resource person are also reflected in an interview (Clark, 2013, p.18). They play a role of coaching the other members of the nursing profession as well as the patients in the healthcare. The leadership quality is also shown by the fact that the nurse practitioner can act as a policy makers and legislators in various aspects of the organization. This also facilitates an environment that ensure care of the patients in the health care system.
The nurse practitioner also ensures the development of leadership skills as well as integration of various aspects of quality assurance, public policy and the health services. The interview also reflected the good communication skills. This enables smooth communication ensuring provision of quality services to the clients. This also helps in understanding the needs of the clients.
