Good Research Paper On Patient Care In Radiology

In every single discipline in the world, one of the most important and vital part of their foundation, is ethics. Ethics, or the set of moral principles whereby a field bases its conduct, is something that is necessary to ensure that the practices exhibited in the field promote moral uprightness. Often times, a field’s code of ethics is something that limits and sets the standard of how and what a practitioner should only do while fulfilling tasks or duties. This is because these principles are made to ensure that the practitioner and other people who would be interacting with them will not be put in danger or harm in any way.
Among the 10 codes of ethics of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the one that really caught my interest, and the one I deem most important is the third code of ethics which states that “The radiologic technologist delivers patient care and service unrestricted by the concerns of personal attributes or the nature of the disease or illness, and without discrimination on the basis of sex, race, creed, religion, or socio-economic status”. One of the most widespread problem faced by society nowadays, is discrimination in all its forms. Given that radiologic technologists are considered as practitioners of healthcare, their duty plays an equally important role in the wellbeing of patients. Any of their actions can either make or break the healing process and betterment of the condition of the patient. Every life that radiologic technologists’ encounters is equally sacred and important, regardless of their differences in race, gender, creed, or religion. This is very crucial, especially nowadays that many disputes, conflicts, and chaos in the world is caused by discrimination. Every patients who raise the need to be treated, should all be treated fairly, and equally, and with the same amount of effort and skills from these practitioners.
