Research questions on Sarah’s project
Do client experiences with the program suggest they are satisfied with the assistance provided?
How diverse are the community needs across the state?
Research questions that stakeholders want to be answered
What policies in the public assistance programs need to be revised in order to improve the agency’s performance?
In terms of purpose and ability to research, this question is appropriate since it requires Sarah first to familiarize with the agency’s framework so that she can have some basis of carrying out her project. Likewise, this question is appropriate in terms of scope because it considers the agency and its programs in totality.
What are the complaints of the residents receiving public assistance across the counties?
The purpose of this question is clear since it focuses on assessing the feedback from residents who benefit from the agency’s assistance programs. It is easy to research on this subject because the interviewer needs to ask questions that highlight the various complaints beneficiaries have about the programs. Additionally, it is appropriate in terms of scope since it focuses on the primary agenda of the agency’s existence.
Which research question will yield more valuable information?
I tend to think my second research question will yield more valuable information. This is because of its focus on the beneficiaries of the agency’s programs who are the primary target of the assistance programs.
