Critical Thinking: Reflection
A college degree increases chances of improving my career opportunities. This is because college degrees involve the deep understanding of the career's main concepts as well as detailed practical on the daily activities involved in my field of study. In particular, the understanding of the concepts enables me to apply those skills to solve different situations pertaining to my field of specialty. On the other hand, practical skills like internship programs and volunteer works widened my experience in the field extensively to enable me to adopt various working conditions. Therefore, extensive understanding and application of the concept coupled with experience broadened my chances of improving my career opportunities.
In addition, the answer relates to the process of critical thinking. To begin with, the answer skillfully conceptualized the contribution of the college degree onwards the basic understanding of the specified career goals. As a result, this provided the critical areas to specialize in enhancing a comprehensive understanding of all the important concepts in the specified field. On the other hand, the answer considered application and synthesis characteristics of critical thinking in the internship and volunteer program undertaken. This practical help in gaining the essential experience required for good career opportunities in the future. This is because many employers prefer candidates with experience to those without.
Furthermore, critical thinking can apply in all other areas that require opinion contributions as well as reflection on the state of an activity or program. This is because critical thinking acts as a guide towards a certain belief or action and hence helps in guiding such actions towards their ultimate goals.
Finally, critical thinking in the future is important since we are bound to face several problems, which put us on a stage to provide solutions. Therefore, it is imperative to understand the important steps o critical thinking to apply them at any stage when the problem arises. These steps include
Step 1: Knowledge- the critical thinking requires in-depth knowledge to understand the problem correctly
Step 3: Application- the future use of critical thinking require an open-minded application skill. This is because effective critical thinking leads to determine the relation between the information gained and the resources available.
