‘This is one of those days I hate being a student!’ I thought as I got on the bus. I barely had enough money for bus fare, leave alone lunch. It was definitely going to be one of those long days. It had taken lots of convincing to even get myself out of bed. I really had to go to school or mum would kill me. At least it was the day that I would get my allowance. There was something good to look forward to. Before long I had already started planning on various things I would do with the allowance.
Suddenly I heard a loud bang followed by some screams and gasps as the bus screeched to a halt. It took me a few moments to realize what had happened. Just as it was dawning on me that we had just got an accident, the woman next to me began screaming uncontrollably. It was the driver. He had slammed to the windscreen and he was bleeding profusely.
We all started rushing out of the bus as if our lives depended on it. I managed to squeeze myself out of the bus and sat on the curb to clear my head first. That was when I noticed my leg. Blood was spurting out of it in a pulsating manner. I was sent into an immediate panic mode. ‘What will I do?’
As if to answer my question, a heavily built man walked up to me lifted me up and immediately placed me in his car even before I could consent. “You need to get to a hospital” he told me as he started the car.’ What if he was kidnapping me?’ I asked myself as I frantically tried to fight the darkness and weakness engulfing me.
