Introduction
In the growth wheel analysis, the Basha Mediterranean cuisine is graded in a scale of between 1 to 4, where one is too weak and 4 is excellent. The grading is done in four different sectors under which the business performance can be improved based on the given analysis. The four areas include business concept, organization, operations and customer relations.
Findings
Business concept: The business concept was graded under five different categories; this included the business idea, product portfolio, revenue model, and customer portfolio and market position. Averagely there was a very good performance in the business concept, with the business idea having the highest score of 4 with revenue model and customer portfolio having the least of 2 each. The department affected in this case is research and development department. This indicates that the research and development maintain the perfect business idea and improve on both revenue model and customer portfolio to ensure expansion in market.
Organization: The organization was graded under five different categories, this included the. Ownership and board, employees, partnership, business processes and legal issue. Averagely there was a good performance in the business organization, with the legal issue having the highest score of 3 and the rest having the scores of 2 each. This indicates that the company’s management are considerate of proper controlling and coordination of work within the whole organization structure.
Operations: the business operations was graded under five different categories, this included the financials, funding, production and deliveries, IT systems and facilities. Averagely there was a very good performance in the business operations, with the funding having the highest score of 4 and the lowest is IT systems of 1. This indicates that the company maintains the perfect funding operation. However, the company have not directed enough resources towards integration of IT systems.
Customer relations: the customer relation was graded under five different categories, this included networking, marketing, sales and service, communications and PR and branding. Averagely there was a better performance in the customer relation, with branding having the highest score of 4 and marketing scoring the least score of 1. This indicates that the company maintain the perfect branding despite poor performance in marketing of its product.
Conclusion and recommendation
There is a better performance exhibited in the sub categories of business idea, legal issue, funding and branding. However, there was a poor performance in IT systems and Marketing. The Basha Mediterranean Cuisine needs to improve on the IT systems and marketing by coming up with proper strategies. This can include directing more resources towards upgrading the IT systems. Further the company can also increase the number of expertise to help with consultations regarding IT operations.
