A more picture perfect relationship with god seems to be the focus of most Islamic choices. However, that is only an illusion created by a powerful leader who intends to manipulate the people who follow him. This leader or hidden master, is able to control the followers or supporters as a puppet master controls their puppets. One of the illusions is that all actions prepare a person for the idea of self-perfection in the eyes of God. If one obeys the rules of the leader, then he or she will have the everlasting peace with God.
Khomeini was able to take wisdom and repeat the words of Sufi beliefs. The result was that those who believed in him thought that the words he parroted were his own. His self-appointed leadership of the Shiites allowed him to dictate new supposed orders from God. The people followed these new rules, as they seem to do with any prophet and the revolution began. His image is an icon that stands for the revolution of this time as the cross stands for the Jewish revolution of Jesus’ era. (Varzi)
His grave is a mausoleum of grand proportions am dos decorated in bronze and gold. The grave is a sparkling tomb seems out of place in the vast desert. Although there were countless visitors in the beginning, after his martyr death, it would seem that people do not celebrate his life and death much more. Instead it seems to be a place for school children to visit. His home is in a similar state of disinterest. However, it is prepared for the prophet to rise up from the dead and resume his place in the world. A very similar story that most dead prophets share. His teaching still is followed by new martyrs that use his death as an example of the picture perfect sacrifice for God.
