Religion has been studied based on three major aspects, which are belief, myth and reality. In other words, anybody who is inclined to religion either does that because of the strong believes he or she has, the myths that surround such a religion or a real life experience that testifies to its existence or both. For example, most Christian believers incline to Christ because of the strong believes they have adopted in life as well as the biblical myths they read in their devotions. As they continue praying and serving God, they experience breakthroughs in their lives, which become a true testimony of their devotion. Religion is a form of spiritual food that a person needs to face the daily challenges that come with life. It is believed that man has a spiritual void, which can only be filled when they are inclined to an appropriate religious system.
Religion is currently described in many ways in the modern society. In as much as most people still incline to the traditional form of religion where they are part of a religious sect, most people resort to science, which appears to have solutions that are more realistic. In a world where people want more tangible and realistic solutions to problems, inclining to religious beliefs and following its teachings has become rather tiresome. Science has therefore been adopted as a form of religion where a person identifies a problem and does a research to find tangible solutions. The quest for truth has made most people use every form of strategy, whether it is in a religious sect or science, both have been accepted and appreciated as means of solving issues that come with life.
Irrespective of the form of religion a person adopts, it is critical that they devote themselves to its teachings for them to find fulfilment. Even though some people simply delight in being associated with a particular religion, only those who diligently follow its teachings that will find fulfilment. Religion is like a lifestyle that a person needs to adopt on a daily basis. Just like food that has to be eaten frequently to satisfy the hunger that someone has, it is also necessary for a person to practice religious teachings on a daily basis to find satisfaction. In most cases, people resolve to religion to help them counter some of the issues they face on a daily basis. If they fail to get the required results, they tend to try out other religious practices.
Religion has been designed into an institution or society where there are different levels. There are various stages a believer has to go through, just to help him or her understand their teaching and basics. Even though there is no compulsion in going through the stages, it is paramount that a person understands the religion and its expectations so that they are not frustrated in the end. Despite the notion painted in people, that when they join a certain sect, things will change abruptly, there are sacrifices that a person has to make for them to get what they want. When looking for followers of a sect, its pioneers fail to tell the truth about some of the stages and requirements that will yield certain results. This hence frustrates most new and young members especially when they cannot get what they expected as they joined.
