Life is full of risks but not every risk will affect the health and behavior of people. All people go through problems in their lives in one way or the other. One of the problems include alcohol addiction, which often leads to people engaging in to bad behaviors that may make them regret later. Some begin to drink and a very early age in their life and they ignore the consequences, are brought about by the increased consumption of alcohol. In particular, teenagers drink without giving a thought to all the consequences that are brought about by early drinking of alcoholic drinks. When teenagers drink, they put their health, studies, as well as, their relationships with other people at a very great risk. There are several advertisements that have been put forward but different parties including churches, private companies, the government, as well as, higher learning institutions with the aim of creating public awareness. For instance, the North Dakota State University (NDSU) alcohol and other drugs prevention programs created useful advertisement with the aim of grabbing the attention of the American teenagers. The advertisements were used to inform the American Teenagers of the dangers that are brought about by alcohol consumption, as well as, change the perception they have on alcohol so that they can avoid it, until they are of the legal drinking age. The American teenagers should be trust the advertisement and follow all that it says because it was created and published by a university website. The basic aim of the advertisement was to ensure that the American teenagers had the ability to measure their alcohol drinking level, as well as think of the disadvantages of drinking alcohol, in order for them to avoid it.
The first thing NDSU did for their advertisement was choosing the colors that attract the young American teenagers so that they can easily catch their attention. NDSU, choose three colors for their advertisement; red, black and white generally red color always attracts the eyes to look at it and they used white and black colors as well and I think that was their first idea in inspiring teens to read the advertisement. However, the basic goal was to let the teens reading what that advertisement is about and gets benefit of it. Even though the advertisement looks very simple with the details, it means a lot certainly for alcoholic or even for the teenagers who are thinking of trying to drink alcohol.
The advertisement was crucial because it aimed at helping the young people to stop drinking alcohol irresponsibly. Developing the thinking of the teenagers, and making them become more careful about the amount of alcohol they consume was well elaborated by the main quote of the advertisement. As teens read that they will begin to think of alcohol in a different way. For example, they will think of consequences it has, they might search in internet and try to find the information that convince them more and they may stop drinking if they were alcoholic and that definitely would be the best solution. In fact, the main reason for making the advertisement is to convince young people to quit drinking or at least decrease the amount of alcohol they drink. In addition, it lets the person to think of the disadvantage of alcohol first and at the same time it discourages teens in the idea of drinking alcohol a lot.
In conclusion, it is clear that alcohol consumption is a problem that affects many people especially the American teenagers. When teenagers drink, they put their health, studies, as well as, their relationships with other people at a very great risk. There are several advertisements that have been put forward but different parties including churches, private companies, the government, as well as, higher learning institutions with the aim of creating public awareness. The advertisement by the NDSU was important because it aimed at helping the young American teenager to start measuring their alcohol consumption levels. It also aimed at making them know the disadvantages that come because of drinking alcohol.
