This article explains the importance of the March on Washington was for Jobs and Freedom, held on August 28, 1963. More than 200,000 people took part in the March against the racial discrimination against them in getting jobs, using the same water fountains, buses and attending the same schools as white population of America. This March was significant during the Civil Right movement in the 1960s that was successful in helping the blacks in America achieve civil equality with their racial counterparts.
