Wind Energy Activity
In this paperwork, I am going to compare the U.S. energy policies with China energy policies. I am also going to give my stand on how I expect the relationship between China and the U.S. to evolve in the coming years.
Wind farm concession program is a policy initiated in 2003, whereby, both the developers and the investors of wind power schemes are chosen through the process of bidding. The policy has helped, a lot, lowering power generation costs, hence lowering the electricity prices to the final consumer. The United States is said to be the world largest energy consumers, hence the reason why it is too, like China, focusing on renewable energy use, such as solar energy harvesting. It is important to note that both China and the United States consumes the world largest quantity of energy, hence the need to act and act fast before the non-renewable sources becomes extinct. Both, the United States and China are facing similar problems, for example global warming as a result of too much accumulation of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere. The problem of global warming warming has awakened the two nations and that is the reason why they are implementing safety energy policies, for a better tomorrow (China energy white paper, 2007).
These two nations are fighting against a common problem, global warming, hence I expect their relationship to grow strong as time passes by- they both have a common goal to achieve. The existence of a healthier relationship, between the two nations, will boost their courage in the fight against the use of unsafe energy to the rest of the world- creating awareness on the importance of consuming safe energy resources to the rest of the world.
